Briony Platt Founder and Director Lean into Learning Ltd.

Led by Briony Platt

“I've spent the last 20 years as a Business Partner and Consultant to Directors, Area Managers and Divisional Managers in Global, National and rapidly expanding Regional businesses, supporting them with development opportunities for both their team members and themselves.

I thrive on the 'ripple effect' of working with Leaders and Managers, knowing that the new approaches and shifts in both behaviour and mindset will benefit their wider teams. I love seeing people succeed and I’m motivated by witnessing people grow their capability and confidence. I’m passionate about engaging and developing people, helping them to generate results for successful teams and businesses.

I believe in making learning fun, enjoyable, thought-provoking and memorable.  I weave plenty of interaction, activity and small group discussion into all the workshops I run, whether they’re run virtually or in person.

The earlier part of my career was spent in the Recruitment industry, personally recruiting, before leading my own team. My career developed within the Learning and Development space, from Trainer to L&D Manager and then finally Head of L&D".

Lean into Learning

verb.
     Lean into something /
     Lean in

to accept the challenge of doing something and try hard to do it successfully (Oxford Dictionary)

The name ‘Lean into Learning’ seemed right, for a number of reasons:

  • The decision we make to ‘Lean in’; to fully engage in something

  • Approaching Learning with a ‘Growth Mindset’ and throwing ourselves into it, no matter how that opportunity to learn has come about

  • That moment when in a meeting, coaching or training session, when the ‘lightbulb’ has gone on and the person is leaning towards you, fully engaged in the topic or discussion
